About AirAgora: a calmer way to plan around air quality
AirAgora exists to answer a narrow practical question well: when the forecast varies, is there a complete period that looks meaningfully less polluted for an outdoor plan? The answer should be useful, consistent, and honest about what it cannot know.
Source → method → decision
The product starts with a decision, not another dashboard
Many air-quality screens stop at a color and number. AirAgora adds a transparent decision layer: choose a location, compare complete practical windows, explain the named index and main pollutant context, and preserve the source timestamp and limits.
The recommendation is deliberately deterministic. The same valid input and rule version produce the same order, including stable ties, meaningful-change behavior, and all-poor wording.
Factual pages instead of invented local stories
The AirAgora city directory contains exactly 2,500 English and 2,500 Brazilian Portuguese pages based on GeoNames facts. Each page can describe coordinates, timezone, population, elevation, ranking, country, continent, and nearby directory cities.
Those facts do not establish why pollution is high in a city. AirAgora never fabricates seasonal, traffic, industrial, wildfire, or health narratives merely to make a page sound local. Live conditions come only from the guarded provider.
Commercial data use is explicit
AirAgora is a commercial product using OpenWeather Free under the provider’s published commercial-use and attribution terms. Production accepts only the official HTTPS API host, keeps OPENWEATHER_API_KEY server-side, and shows visible OpenWeather attribution.
When the key is missing or the provider is unavailable, the product reports unavailable. It does not substitute fixtures, scraping, or another data source.
Privacy is part of the product boundary
Public teaser, share, analytics, and notification-log payloads avoid selected windows, raw hourly detail, exact coordinates, profile labels, raw email, and tokens. Tokens are stored only as SHA-256 hashes. Saved coordinates are rounded to the planning grid.
D1 is canonical for captures, accounts, alerts, billing, revenue, and analytics. Third-party list synchronization is best effort and optional marketing consent remains separate and unchecked.
How AirAgora intends to improve
OpenWeather activation and independent production review are complete. The next useful steps are direct conversations with users, reliability monitoring, and forecast verification with stored original predictions and reviewed observations.
Public marketing pages are now indexable. Private app, auth, result, account, billing, settings, alerts, locations, API, and 404 routes remain noindex. AirAgora prefers a narrow truthful loop and learning from real users over pretending the product is finished.
- Deterministic rule airagora-1.1.0
- OpenWeather official host only in production
- Exactly 2,500 factual cities per locale
- D1 canonical state with privacy-safe public payloads
- Public marketing indexable; private utilities protected
