The newsletter is an optional editorial channel for product updates and clear explanations. You do not need to subscribe to receive a requested result, sign in, manage billing, or access public severe-event guidance.

What subscribers can expect
Emails can cover new bilingual tools, methodology changes, data-source updates, practical AQI explanations, product milestones, and occasional requests for feedback. The editorial standard is factual, sourced, and calm.
The newsletter will not invent city pollution stories, claim medical certainty, or use a severe event as manufactured conversion urgency.
Consent is separate from essential email
Result delivery, passwordless authentication, billing notices, failed-payment messages, preference links, and account operations are transactional or requested product email. Newsletter subscription is a separate explicit choice.
On result capture, the marketing box is unchecked. On this page, submitting the dedicated form is the affirmative subscription action.
D1 is canonical; listmonk is best effort
AirAgora stores the consent event in D1 first with email, locale, source path, consent time, and list kind. It then attempts to project the subscriber to the dedicated listmonk newsletter list.
A listmonk outage does not erase the canonical signup or block the response. Sync status and errors remain operational metadata rather than being hidden.
Privacy and unsubscribe
The newsletter does not require a saved location, exact coordinate, profile, medical detail, or subscription purchase. Analytics must not contain raw email addresses.
Every marketing message provides an unsubscribe route. Leaving the newsletter does not delete an AirAgora account or stop essential messages that a user separately requests.
A deliberately low-volume channel
AirAgora optimizes for useful product and user conversations rather than a high-frequency content machine. Subscribers should expect meaningful updates, not daily recycled AQI headlines.
If there is nothing worth sending, the right cadence is no email. The source register and public guides remain available without joining.

No fixed high-frequency cadence is promised. AirAgora sends when there is a useful update.
Does subscribing save my location?
No. The newsletter form needs an email, locale, consent/source metadata, and no exact coordinates.

No. D1 is canonical and listmonk synchronization is best effort.
Can I unsubscribe?
Yes. Marketing email provides unsubscribe controls without deleting your account.
