The problem worth validating
School communities may need to interpret changing air-quality information across arrivals, outdoor activities, sports, pickup, and local incidents. Existing screens often expose a number without the source, scheme, valid time, or limits needed for a responsible institutional decision.
AirAgora’s hypothesis is that a calm, bilingual planning view could reduce repeated manual checking. That hypothesis needs direct user research before a school product is launched or charged for.
What a first school product could include
A validated version could organize multiple school locations, planned activity periods, public index context, modeled-versus-observed labeling, source timestamps, administrator-owned rules, quiet hours, delivery logs, and links to official guidance.
It would not automatically prescribe closures, diagnose students, infer classroom conditions, or hide severe-event information behind a subscription. Those boundaries are requirements, not footnotes.
Institutional ownership and privacy come first
A school product needs a named administrator, role boundaries, account recovery, approval for alert recipients, data minimization, retention rules, and clear deletion/export procedures. It should avoid collecting student medical details when a general planning decision does not require them.
The current public school-run tool intentionally asks only for city-level context. Waitlist signup stores an email, locale, source path, consent time, and organization text if supplied; list synchronization is best effort.
Evidence and severe-event behavior
Modeled OpenWeather forecast data represent broad grids and future hours. School-site sensors or official stations would require separate provenance, siting, averaging, and quality review before any combination.
During wildfire smoke or another severe event, official public-health, emergency, and school authority instructions remain primary. AirAgora must never suggest that a lower-ranked window overrides an institutional warning.
How the waitlist will be used
The waitlist is for product discovery, pilot invitations, and launch updates related to schools. Joining does not create a paid contract, reserve a price, or promise a launch date. AirAgora will prioritize a small number of direct conversations over broad promotional outreach.
You can unsubscribe from email updates. The schools list is separate from the general newsletter and from result-delivery emails.
