Separate city planning from institutional policy

AirAgora can compare complete modeled periods for a selected city and describe the named AQI. A school’s decisions may also use local authority notices, station observations, site conditions, facilities information, staffing, and established policy that the public tool cannot see.

A model grid is not a playground or classroom reading

The documented OpenWeather grids cover broad areas. A roadside gate, playground, indoor room, bus route, sports field, valley, or smoke plume can differ. AirAgora does not infer site measurements from a city coordinate.

Observed data could be added only through a reviewed adapter with siting, quality, averaging, and verification details. It should never be invisibly blended into a modeled forecast.

Activity periods need complete data and cautious language

A school routine spans more than one point. AirAgora’s two-hour windows require both hours and retain a worst-hour component. Missing hours are excluded, and all-poor periods remain labeled elevated.

Public activity guides can help institutions interpret categories, but the U.S. and European scales differ. A threshold or label from one system should not be copied blindly to the other.

Privacy and ownership must come before automation

The public school-run tool does not collect student names, medical records, class lists, or school attendance. A future institutional product would need clear administrative ownership, permission boundaries, data minimization, retention, and account recovery.
